About Wurzpott

Wurzpott was founded in 2021 by Kubru GmbH & Co. KG in Waiblingen, Germany, and expanded to the U.S. market in July 2022. The company was born from a lifelong friendship between Markus Grau, the company’s founder, and Sam Bassan, President of U.S. operations. They met as children in Germany, where Sam’s parents were stationed with the U.S. Army. Over thirty years later, their shared passion for exceptional cuisine led them to create a business dedicated to delivering premium-quality spices.


At Wurzpott, our mission is simple: to provide home cooks with the tools to create restaurant-quality meals effortlessly. We pride ourselves on offering spices made with superior-quality, 100% natural, vegan ingredients, sustainably sourced from Europe and Asia, and made without gluten. Our goal is to achieve kosher certification by 2025. Through our innovative WASP (Wurzpott Aroma Safe Process) technology, we preserve the freshness of our ingredients by removing nearly 100% of the oxygen from our packaging.


Wurzpott is equally committed to environmental sustainability and philanthropy. We exclusively use glass jars and metal lids to minimize our environmental footprint.
