-
1 shallot, minced
-
½ red pepper, finely diced
-
½ cup celery, finely diced
-
2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp Dijon mustard
-
2½–3 tsp Coastal Breeze seasoning
-
2 tbsp oil
Cucumber Dill Sauce
-
¼ cup mayonnaise
-
¼ cup plain Greek yogurt
-
½ tbsp Dijon mustard
-
½ cup cucumber, finely diced
-
½ cup celery, finely diced
-
¼ cup green onion, thinly sliced
-
1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
-
2 tbsp chives, thinly sliced
-
1 tbsp capers, rinsed and minced
-
2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
-
1–1½ tsp Coastal Breeze seasoning
Directions
In a small skillet over medium heat, lightly sauté celery and red pepper for 2–3 minutes to reduce excess moisture. Let cool slightly.
In a large bowl, combine crab meat, panko, egg, capers, shallot, sautéed vegetables, garlic, parsley, Dijon mustard, and Coastal Breeze seasoning.
Fold gently until just combined, being careful not to break up the crab too much.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Form mixture into 6 patties and refrigerate until ready to cook.
In a small bowl, combine all cucumber dill sauce ingredients and mix until fully incorporated. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Cook crab cakes for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and heated through.
Transfer to a plate and let rest briefly.
Finish with a light squeeze of fresh lemon juice if desired.
Serve warm topped with cucumber dill sauce and garnish with lemon slices and fresh herbs.
Recipe Note
Fold the crab mixture gently to preserve large pieces of lump crab meat.
Refrigerating the mixture helps the crab cakes hold together during cooking.
Lightly sautéing vegetables helps reduce excess moisture and improves texture.
Do not overcrowd the skillet or the crab cakes may brown unevenly.
Fresh lemon juice brightens the seafood flavor and balances the richness of the sauce.
